Entrepreneurship…Just Go For It!

Sometimes in life we want to change course for many different reasons and we become attracted to the idea of the entrepreneurial craze.

We were taught to go to school, get good grades and attend college so we can have a better job than our parents and then ultimately retire with that company. Most of us are realizing that type of programming is not the best option any more.

We grew up watching our parents follow that route. They get up at 6am every day, go to work in a job they no longer care about. They dislike the people and leadership of the individuals they work with. No longer do they see the vision they once saw for their life because their job is nothing but a means to end at this time. However, they keep on doing what they’re doing because they feel they have to.

Does this sound familiar?

Well the entrepreneurial desire comes to you in many different ways. Here’s a scenario for some:

One day someone approaches you in your normal day to day activities and asks you to attend a meeting this week and you should check it out. So, you go ahead and agree to the meeting and when you attend you open your mind to a new way of life; people are enjoying themselves, people are getting paid what their worth( i.e. – paid on their results), they like what their doing, they hang around with like minded people that support each other to grow and they’re having fun.

You wind up getting a crash course on how you can run your own business with the right support system which has been proven, you get education, you go through some personal growth because that’s what you need to be successful.

So far all of it makes sense. So you agree to start your business. However, you run into some obstacles.

You run into rejection. Something you’re not use to. Your self talk begins to tear you down and tell you “maybe this won’t work.” But you continue on. Your journey continues. Then you get a family member or a friend staring you down and telling you “It’s never going to work for you. I was on the internet and saw it won’t work.” At this point you hit the brakes on your journey that potentially will change your life for the better. However, your self talk starts to agree with your friend or family member and you decide it won’t work and you turn around and go back to your old way of life that wasn’t getting you anywhere.

Here’s the reality of this story. This story is 100% true for millions of people around the world. There is a choice to be made. It’s a choice that is made by everyone that is successful and not made by people who are unsuccessful. You will have naysayers, obstacles; people will get in the way.

Whenever these obstacles appear you must you must decide to do whatever it’s going to take to bypass these obstacles and just hit the GAS!
